www.placenamesni.org: modern maps of townlands in Northern Ireland, with the history of their placenames. Funding from the Department of Finance in 2019 has allowed them to complete Counties Down, Antrim and Armagh. Their Twitter handle is @placenamesni
www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation: 19th century maps of Ireland which can be superimposed on a modern street map.
www.nidirect.gov.uk/services/search-proni-historical-maps-viewer The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland has a viewer for Historical Maps. The viewer can be used for seven historical OSNI maps and four modern basemaps (including aerial imagery), displaying county, parish and townland boundaries. A variety of tools and ‘widgets’ allow you to search and browse the maps and compare one map with another.
